For 20 years our breeding program has incorporated the Llewellin Setter, a strain of the English Setter that at one time was called the "field setter".
In the early 1900's the American Field gave these dogs their own place in the registry making the Llewellin a recognized breed. The name Llewellin comes from a man whose life work was to create the perfect setter. Richard Llewellin was an avid bird hunter and field trialer. His wealth allowed him to maintain a large kennel where he developed a cross that several Englishmen had success with. It was through Llewellin's skillful breeding that the Llewellin became the unique and distinguished breed that they are today.
Today Llewellin's are a close working, intelligent gun dog with a calm, gentle nature. They are both an extraordinary hunter with a natural field ability as well as a companion.
After 25 years of breeding some of the finest Llewellin setters in the world we are ending our breeding program. Our setters are a very important part of our family and have given us many memorable moments. Our breeding program has also given us the opportunity to meet many wonderful people many who become dear friends. Thank you to everyone who supported us and gave our pups loving homes during these years.

Memorial Page
Command: he thee obeys most readily.
Strike him: he whines and falls down at thy feet
Call him: he leaves his games and comes to thee
With wagging tail, offering his service meek.
If so thou wilt, a collar he will wear;
And when thou wish to take it off again.
Unto thy feet he crouchest down most fair.
As if thy will were all his good and gain.
